TEAM OF THE WEEK: Season Ten, Round Eight - April 26
KATRINA HAILSTONE
Team: Rutherford.
Result: Rutherford 14 def. Raymond Terrace 3
Why: Hailstone played flank in the Northern Derby for one of the first times since her signing, and held herself in good account as she nicked a number of poached eliminations down the wing against the Terrace's forwards.
First appearance in the Team of the Week.
RYNELL WILLIAMS
Team: Raymond Terrace.
Result: Raymond Terrace 3 def. by Rutherford 14
Why: Williams may have been on the wrong side of the 14-3 scoreline in the Northern Derby in the Newcastle Dodgeball League, but she was still the stand-out performer from the team. A number of key catches kept the Terrace in the match, but missed opportunities late in rounds cost the side, despite Williams shining.
First appearance in the Team of the Week.
LEWIS FOOT
Team: Cooks Hill.
Result: Cooks Hill 4 def. by Hamilton 8
Why: Perhaps it was the burden of captaining the team with Benjamin McIntyre's absence, but with the return of the club captain Foot was free to play roving-forward once more for the side. Although the team tasted defeated for the first time in six weeks, Foot covered himself in glory as he kept them in the 12-round contest that had become known as the Battle of Oakdale Arena.
Third appearance in the Team of the Week.
ALEXANDER MCINTYRE
Team: Hamilton.
Result: Hamilton 8 def. Cooks Hill 4
Why: Not only did McIntyre have a strong offensive game, his defensive movements on Hamilton's flanks, and a handful of key catches in the rivalry, made sure he ran the tempo of the derby. Also proved key as he shut down Cooks Hill's captain Benjamin McIntyre in a match-long duel only brothers could have.
Second appearance in the Team of the Week.
NATHANIEL KING
Team: Waratah.
Result: Waratah 6 drew. Belmont 6
Why: King was key in the late stages of the 6-all draw in dragging the league leaders back into the tie, and the single point the 'Tahs walked away with can mostly be put down to catches and outs he scored in the final four rounds.
Second appearance in the Team of the Week.
JAIMI BUBB
Team: Belmont.
Result: Belmont 6 drew. Waratah 6
Why: Bubb put Belmont in the lead early with long-ranged eliminations staggering Waratah. Combining with Nic Price on the flanks he proved deadly in support of forward Liam Janczuk, and it was only once the 'Tahs hit their stride late that Bubb began to drop-off in elimination count.
First appearance in the Team of the Week.
