For the first time in Australian history, a professional dodgeball league is being founded in 2016. Primarily focused around Victoria and New South Wales, teams will compete to find out who the best dodgeballers in the country are.
Entering into the competition as a founding team, the Newcastle Waves are Newcastle's first professional dodgeball team. Drawing players from across the Newcastle Dodgeball League, the Waves look to take the competition by storm and prove that Newcastle deserves a place in the hall of Dodgeballing history - one that sees them challenging for the title of NSW League Champion
With rivals like the Milperra Mavericks, Liverpool Lightning and Burwood Badgers, the Newcastle Waves face a tough challenge in the opening season, which kicks off on Saturday, 4th June.
